What a strange photo...

An empty table with an empty chair part 1...
I attended a retreat once that  reminded us that at our Blble studies we should always have an empty chair...one available for a new- comer, a late-comer or one just for Jesus. This chair tonight represents an arrival. Hannah, beautiful, energetic (too energetic???  :), driven Hannah sits at this table to do her math work books. She is not being punished, I promise...She just started doing math workbooks day before yesterday and it's not a mistake that I typed workbookS...It's funny to see an extroverted mathematician in a house full of (slightly) introverted readers. Despite our differences, God knew the exact child that needed to be in our family, she rolls with the punches so very well... :)

An empty table with an empty chair part 2...

We moved Mother to an assisted living facility this afternoon. Even though we all knew in our hearts that it is a great place and it is what is best for all involved, Mother, because of her youthful appearance  (due to 25 years of applying Crisco twice a day) and quick sense of humor felt that she was at some sort of "summer camp" and asked my sister how long it would be before we could "break her out of this place". She said that the woman at her dinner table (at 5:00; equivalent to Mother's "Happy Hour"at my house being served non-alcolholic now-days), kept saying, "Mama-Mia! Mama-Mia!"  ;)

The journey continues...
